Aenar MacVenner was a veteran scout of the Stormwind's Lions detachment, until he woke up grumpy and annoyed as an undead. Now, forced to serve under the banner of the forsaken Queen, Aenar realises the world of the (un)dead is not much of his taste. This is a World of Warcraft related story from a first person perspective. It can be read from those who have not played the game and do not know the lore as there is not a connection of Aenar's story with the basic plot of the game.

"The Nightingale" is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about an emperor who prefers the tinkling of a bejeweled mechanical bird to the song of a real nightingale. When the Emperor is near death, the nightingale's song restores his health. Well received upon its publication in Copenhagen in 1843 in New Fairy Tales, the tale is believed to have been inspired by the author's unrequited love for opera singer Jenny Lind, the "Swedish nightingale". The story has been adapted to opera, ballet, musical play, television drama and animated film.

Article purportedly by Jules Verne, but probably by his son. According to the editor's note at the beginning: "In the Year 2889_ was first published in the _Forum_, February, 1889; p. 262. It was published in France the next year. Although published under the name of Jules Verne, it is now believed to be chiefly if not entirely the work of Jules' son, Michel Verne. In any event, many of the topics in the article echo Verne's ideas."

Phileas Fogg is a rich British gentleman living in solitude. Despite his wealth, Fogg lives a modest life with habits carried out with mathematical precision. Very little can be said about his social life other than that he is a member of the Reform Club. Having dismissed his former valet, James Forster, for bringing him shaving water at 84 °F (29 °C) instead of 86 °F (30 °C), Fogg hires a Frenchman by the name of Jean Passepartout as a replacement. At the Reform Club, Fogg gets involved in an argument over an article in The Daily Telegraph stating that with the opening of a new railway section in India, it is now possible to travel around the world in 80 days. He accepts a wager for £20,000 (equal to about £1.6 million in 2015) from his fellow club members to complete such a journey within this time period. Accompanied by Passepartout, Fogg departs from London by train at 8:45 P.M. on October 2; in order to win the wager, he must return to the club by this same time on December 21, 80 days later.

Mme. Vauquer, a stingy old widow who owns the place, rules over her tenants. They are people with modest means and desires, like Mlle. Michonneau, the old maid; Poiret, a puppet-like human being; and a young orphan, Victorine Taillefer. Three tenants stand out in this company: Eugène de Rastignac, a young student from the provinces, of noble origin, but poor and eager to try his luck in the capital; Vautrin, the "strong" man, bon vivant and humorous, but mysterious and alarming; and Père Goriot, a retired merchant, who seems to be suffering from a mysterious sorrow.

Four young freshmen from UCLA, two couples, decided to wander around the city suburbs of LA, on their bicycles, this weekend. They thought this was a good idea since they were going to be staying there for the next four years of their lives. Following the street signs, they begun their journey and into the woods through a pathway. After two hours, they stumbled upon a big sign which signaled “Dead end, warning”. The one couple, Bob and Jackleen, bold and armed to the teeth, trained in one of the best war simulation academy in LA, ignored the warning and continued past the sign. The other couple, being more scared, decided to follow the longer route that was nearby. They had a rendezvou some miles ahead. Would they make it to that point? What was about to happen to both of them?
